First Lady Michelle O. Tells Women to Wear What They Love...

Via HuffPo:
We're totally ready to turn the page on Michelle Obama McQueen Dressgate.

For those of you not caught up, here's the saga in a nutshell: the first lady wore British label Alexander McQueen to the State Dinner with China last week. Oscar de la Renta called her out for wearing a non-American designer and the CFDA released a statement expressing its disappointment in her choice. Meanwhile, Michelle donned all-American Rachel Roy to the State of the Union and we thought we'd gotten over all of the fashion drama. But then Cathy Horyn named Mrs. Obama the victim of a sartorial witch hunt and we just couldn't resist asking Joan Rivers what she thought of the whole thing.

And now, FLOTUS has spoken. In an interview with Robin Roberts of "Good Morning America" on Friday, the anchorwoman ventured to bring up the issue among important topics like Obama's reelection campaign, support for military families and Let's Move!

via People.com: Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama have joined forces to shed light on the sacrifice military families make when their loved ones go into battle. When asked on Thursday's The Oprah Winfrey Show what impresses her most about these families, Obama said, "Their strength. Their pride. Their courage. Their willingness to sacrifice without complaint moves me every single time."

"Whenever I'm feeling bad, feeling sorry for myself, I suck it up because of these families," she added. The First Lady will be joined by journalists Tom Brokaw and Bob Woodward to honor military families who have shouldered the burden of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan for nearly a decade.

As for why Obama is speaking up, she says it's because someone has to. "Part of the challenge of getting the message out about military families is they never ask for help," she said. "They never ask for help because you don't do that when you're in the military. You get it done. That's how you're trained. That's what you're taught."
